DESCRIPTION:The Sheridan Fulmer Library will host an artist reception for Charlotte Mehmke on Wednesday\, Sept. 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. on the mezzanine. \nMehmke’s work is currently displayed in an exhibit titled “Women’s History: Founding Mothers” on the library’s mezzanine. \nMehmke has sewn and hand stitched several women’s dresses representing various periods of American history. The dresses range from gowns to simple dresses that would have been worn by female slaves. \nThe exhibit will remain on display through September. \n
