SUMMARY:Salute to Veterans Meet - Sheridan Swim Team
DESCRIPTION:The Sheridan Swim Team Sharks hosts its annual Salute to Veterans Meet at the Sheridan Junior High Early Building Pool. Forty-five Sheridan athletes will compete against swimmers from across the region. Swimming begins at 10:00 on Saturday\, 9:00 Sunday. \nDuring the meet\, SST will be raising funds to assist the Manuel and Rhonda Gallegos family\, whose 6-year-old daughter\, Avaleena\, was recently diagnosed with neuroblatoma\, a rare form of childhood cancer. SST is selling Salute to Veterans cinch bags at $5 a piece\, with all proceeds to help the Gallegos family offset medical and travel costs incurred during Avaleena’s treatment.
