SUMMARY:Veterans Day Ceremony @ Sheridan College
DESCRIPTION:Due to predicted snow and extremely low temperatures on Tuesday\, November 11\, Sheridan College will move its Veterans Day ceremony indoors to the Whitney Presentation Hall\, room W136 in the Whitney Building. The start time has also been changed to 11 a.m. \nThis year marks the 50th anniversary of the start of the Vietnam War. The keynote speaker for the ceremony will be Ron Wood from the Wyoming Veterans Commission and a Vietnam veteran. \nThe ceremony will begin with remarks by Dr. Paul Young\, Sheridan College president and retired Navy Commander. Music will be provided by the SC Brass Quintet\, to commemorate the signing of the World War I Armistice\, which occurred on Nov. 11\, 1918\, at 11 a.m. \nThe ceremony is free and open to the public.
