This past Friday marked a BIG win for Sheridan businesses and tourism as Bruce Garber, President of CAST, signed the contract with Denver Air Connection. Air Service is officially returning to Sheridan on November 19th. Are you going to “fly Sheridan”? Read the press release below for more details:

“The Sheridan-Johnson Critical Air Service Team (CAST), a collaborative venture between stakeholders in Sheridan and Johnson counties, has worked tirelessly to bring a quality air service provider back to the Sheridan County Airport, a goal which is now being realized.
On Friday, September 25th, CAST President Bruce Garber officially signed the contract with Denver Air Connection.  CAST is thrilled to announce that air service returns to Sheridan, Wyoming on November 19th, 2015 when Denver Air Connection begins operating daily non-stop flights between Sheridan County Airport (SHR) and Denver International Airport (DEN).  This is a triumph for both CAST and our communities and will encourage business growth, facilitate essential air travel for residents, and foster local tourism development.
CAST President Bruce Garber has already booked his first ticket to “fly Sheridan” and encourages others to follow suit: “High quality air service is vital for Sheridan and this is our chance to get off the ground.  This morning, after working on this project for 3 years – I was very pleased to be able to book a flight from Sheridan for a trip I have planned in December.  I will leave my house at 7am and will be in Denver at 9:30am with plenty of time to catch my flight to the east coast.”  Tickets are now available by visiting www.flytheDAC.com, or by calling one of your local travel agents [Brittain World Travel (307) 672-2481, or Latitudes Travel (307) 674-0656].  More information will soon be available on a new website at www.flysheridan.com, currently under construction by CAST’s Marketing Committee.
A high priority for CAST is to provide the high quality air service at competitive rates.  Denver Air Connection is poised to provide such service with 13 round-trip flights per week on a 30 passenger Dornier jet.  Denver Air Connection began passenger operations in 2007, providing service between Grand Junction Airport (GJT), Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (BJC), and Centennial Airport (APA).  In 2014, DAC carried more than 13,000 passengers between these locations.  In addition, DAC continues to provide charter services to major collegiate sports teams – including the University of Wyoming – oil field services, major corporations, politicians, celebrities, musicians, and more.
For more information, please contact CAST President Bruce Garber, (307) 672-5838, CAST Vice President Jay Stender, (307) 673-8004, or CAST Secretary Dixie Johnson, (307) 672-2485.”
