Ski Area Chooses New Logo & Brand Identity
SHERIDAN, WY – The Antelope Butte Foundation recently announced the selection of Sandy Scott Suzor as the newest board member. She is the owner of Powder Horn Realty in Sheridan and is an avid skier and outdoor enthusiast who grew up skiing at Antelope Butte. “I am so excited that generations of folks, like my childhood friends and me, will now have the chance to fall in love with Antelope Butte,” said Suzor. “It will offer a place for all to learn about and experience nature, acquire lifelong skills, and spend time with friends and family to make memories in the spectacular Bighorn Mountains.”
The selection of Suzor was unanimous and she began her service immediately on June 20. She plans to focus her efforts on the fundraising projects already underway to complete the restoration of the mountain recreation area. “We are really excited to welcome Sandy to our board,” said Andrew Gast, Ski-EO of Antelope Butte, “As our organization continues to evolve and we move closer to opening, we are seeing a tremendous amount of support from families and members of the community who want the local mountain reopened.”
Antelope Butte has also announced its new logo and brand identity for the mountain facility, created through a partnership with Flood Marketing in Sheridan. The new brand identity incorporates the foundation’s logo on the side of a mountain and uses the name Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area in a font inspired by a recognizable sign on the side of the Antelope Butte lodge. This new brand will be used for all activities related to the Antelope Butte facility while the foundation will retain its existing logo icon for the current Open Antelope Butte campaign and future support efforts.
“It was time for the Antelope Butte facility to have a new name, new logo, and new brand as the organization transitions from primarily fundraising to now getting the mountain open and available for recreation,” said Camden Easterling, a project executive with Flood Marketing. “We drew from Antelope Butte’s previous logos and a sign that has long been on the ski lodge to create a fresh, modern new logo that is recognizable and rooted in nostalgia.”
The new Antelope Butte logo and brand is being rolled out to the public this summer at community events and the Antelope Butte Summer Festival on July 22-24. A line of merchandise with the new logo is planned and Flood Marketing is working to align the materials and events of the foundation with the new brand. Gast commented, “The new logo for Antelope Butte is unique, beautiful, and speaks to all those who will be using Antelope Butte when we open next year.”
