Presidents’ Day


Today marks the 44th year that Presidents’ Day — formerly “Washington’s Birthday” — has been celebrated on the third Monday of February rather than February 22, George Washington’s actual birthday. The date was changed as part of an act intended to provide US workers with more three-day weekends.
