Salute to Veterans Meet – Sheridan Swim Team

The Sheridan Swim Team Sharks hosts its annual Salute to Veterans Meet at the Sheridan Junior High Early Building Pool. Forty-five Sheridan athletes will compete against swimmers from across the region. Swimming begins at 10:00 on Saturday, 9:00 Sunday.

During the meet, SST will be raising funds to assist the Manuel and Rhonda Gallegos family, whose 6-year-old daughter, Avaleena, was recently diagnosed with neuroblatoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. SST is selling Salute to Veterans cinch bags at $5 a piece, with all proceeds to help the Gallegos family offset medical and travel costs incurred during Avaleena’s treatment.
