Backcountry Film Festival Coming Up At Black Tooth Brewing Company
Getting out and exploring wintertime in Wyoming is an incredible experience. Better yet — for one night at least? Staying inside to enjoy the great outdoors with great films, great people and great beer.
The 11th Annual Backcountry Film Festival makes a stop in Sheridan — one of only five showings in Wyoming — on Friday, January 22 at the Black Tooth Brewing Company. The pre-viewing party begins at 6:00 with the movie following at 7:00. Admission is $10.
The Wyoming Wilderness Association and Winter Wildlands Alliance have teamed up once again to bring the Backcountry Film Festival to the Cowboy State, one of over a 100 stops for the Festival around the world. The film consists of nine exciting shorts totaling an hour-and-a-half in length focused on winter recreation — including skiing, climbing, and snowboarding — and wild lands preservation.
“People that love the outdoors will enjoy these riveting movies,” says Claudia Colnar, WWA Development Director. “The films are inspirational, exciting and involve a wide range of participants from their 20s through their 70s.”
A number of raffle prizes are up for grabs, including a Black Diamond Ski Gear Package, warm winter woolies, gift cards and more. Sheridan Brand donated a 307 print and “The Sheridan Hat” to be given away, as well.
