History buffs and would-be real estate moguls, this public tour’s for you.
Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19, The Montgomery will be open for you to check out. The Montgomery is now Sheridan’s newest combined commercial and residential building, located at 104 North Main St.
Our friends at The Montgomery want you to come see what they have been working on as they’ve renovated this piece of downtown Sheridan history. The Friday tours run 4-6pm. Saturday’s are from 10 am to noon. 
Originally built in the 1930s, what was then the Montgomery Ward building served as one of the original department stores in Sheridan for 40 years. Since it’s closing in Sheridan in 1970, it’s housed a fabric’s supplier, a furniture and appliance store, and a collectibles provision.
A group of Sheridan locals purchased the building and began renovations of the building in 2015. The building has been gutted with all major pieces updated including the steel frame, insulation, electrical, plumbing and an energy efficient heating and cooling system installed.
Commercial and residential spaces in The Montgomery will be available for purchase. The spaces will be finished to suit the buyers desires.
