Sheridan Community Land Trust – 10 Year Anniversary

~CONTENT POWERED BY ANTELOPE BUTTE~

Started in 2006, Sheridan Community Land Trust is a local organization dedicated to “…preserving working ranches, open spaces, wildlife habitat, and historic sites, as well as increasing recreation opportunities .” They have done great work around Sheridan County such as the hiking trails at Red Grade and Soldier Ridge, and numerous land and ranch conservation efforts. But, they need our help.

The work that SCLT does comes almost entirely from donations from members. Membership can come in many forms, as some elect to donate monthly or once annually. The amount and method are up to the donor. Aside from palpable positive changes in the Sheridan community, your donation will also open the door for great perks, such as shed hunts, float trips, hikes on private property, historic tours, and float trips. Each dollar counts, and for every dollar that is given, $3-$10 are put in additionally through grants, matches, and deliverable. Some of the projects the SCLT have on deck right now include proposed trails and protected acreages to public access and restored historic structures. If you would like to see Sheridan’s history preserved and her future ensured, donate to the Sheridan Community Land Trust now and help them get to 300 supporting members by the end of June!
