Sheridan Local Food Expo

~CONTENT POWERED BY ANTELOPE BUTTE FOUNDATION~

Agriculture and culinary education are important as, well, we have to eat. At least, that’s what the folks with the Sheridan Local Food Expo are telling us, and they want you to know about it too! From October 5th through 8th, you have a unique opportunity to attend workshops, panels, and activities that aim to educate the community in the ways of local food production, personal health, and public economic developments. The Expo starts at the Public Library on October 5th at 5:30, continuing with other fun things like a Gala dinner on the 7th and a panel on “Eating, Growing, & Selling” following the Fall Festival Farmer’s Market on the 8th. Proceeds from the dinner will not only continue to make the rest of the event free for years to come, but also go towards youth programs supporting the education and importance of buying and eating locally. Oh yeah, there’s also a ton of awesome opportunities for you to be directly involved in the event. Financial sponsorship, donations of your local food, wine, beer to the gala event, and vendor status at the Fall Festival Farmer’s Market on the 8th are all possibilities within your grasp. You can get in touch with them via Facebook to achieve all of your wildest Food Expo dreams. Now, let’s be honest, we all know how good a home cooked meal can be, especially when we know exactly who raised the crop. So if you’re anything like us, and you enjoy both education and tasty snacks, there’s pretty much no reason not to check out the Sheridan Local Food Expo.
