Looking for something to do this weekend that has something for everyone? You’re in luck!
Biketoberfest is this Saturday and you can get signed up at Sheridan Bicycle Company or sign up online here: https://biketoberfest.itsyourrace.com/register/default.aspx
Choose from a 4-mile Fun Run or Bike Race, 7-mile Trail Run, or 15-mile Mountain Bike Race. Races start and end at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds where Dominoes pizza and Black Tooth Brewing Company beer (21+) await you! They’ll also have fun activities for the whole family. Make sure your kids bring their bikes so they can try the Kids’ Bike Rodeo and we’ll have a small Pump Track set up in the parking lot as well.
The longer races utilize SCLT’s Soldier Ridge Trail, which was completed in 2012 and offers great views of the Bighorns, challenging climbs and fast downhills, plus a little mud. The 4-mile race follows Hidden Bridge Golf Course cart paths which are now graveled, so strollers and bike trailers are welcome. Kids 12 and under race FREE with a registered adult. Parents must register them at the event so they get a bib# for free pizza.
All proceeds stay in the community to support projects like the new Red Grade Trails System and the existing Soldier Ridge Trail, which the longer races follow.
