Bighorn Design Studio & Surf Wyoming have teamed up with The Link – Partners in Pink of the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation to offer a limited edition t-shirt for breast cancer awareness. We at Sheridan Brand said we’d love to do anything we can to help. The shirt styles are: T-Shirt ($30), Kid’s T-Shirt ($25), Long Sleeve Baseball T ($39), and Pink Thermal ($45). You can view the shirts here, and they go on sale on Oct 1. The goal is to raise $5,000 – $10,000 for breast cancer awareness, and all of the profits from these tees will be donated to the Foundation (and kept in Sheridan.) “2015 marks the 7th annual Link Partners in Pink Run/Walk. Originally started as a fundraiser for breast health programs, cancer screening, mammography equipment upgrades and patient support at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, it has turned into more than just a typical run/walk fundraiser. For many of the participants it’s a day to remember and reflect on their experience or on the experiences of friends and family, for others it may be a way to catch up with friends they haven’t seen for a while. Whatever the reason for people to take part, this event has become much more than just a fundraiser-it has become a reason for the community to come together to honor and remember those who have had their lives touched by cancer… any type of cancer.
The Link committee is proud to be partnering with Surf Wyoming this year. From the first meeting with PJ Treide, the company’s generosity and desire to give back to our community is something they are passionate about and we are so thrilled to have the opportunity to work with this great company. Surf Wyoming is a local business that is working hard to support not just Sheridan but Wyoming as a whole.”
“When Meredith called to see if we could produce their shirts for the run/walk participants at this year’s event, we were really excited to help. We proposed that we help the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation sell these via our Surf Wyoming website, which reaches a nationwide audience and in our store at Bighorn Design Studio to help them raise additional funding for breast cancer awareness and the great work they do locally. Working together, we felt we could use a strong platform to donate all of the profits from the sales of the shirts.
Our teams at Surf Wyoming and Bighorn Design have come into close contact recently with a couple of very strong individuals who have been diagnosed with, and have been battling, breast cancer. This disease, and cancer in general, turns lives, families, and communities upside-down. We have been inspired by the battles that have been fought, past and present, and want to do just a small part to help reduce the burden on the families that go through this. We feel fortunate that we can use a Surf Wyoming tee to to support the cause and give back here in our community. This community and state is so giving and has done so much to support our brand, and this a great way for us to pay it forward.”
