Located in Whitney Commons, this piece of art is titled — not surprisingly — “Boy Roping Chickens.” It is one of many pieces of art displayed in Sheridan. In 2001, Mayor Jim Wilson formed a public arts committee with a mission of displaying public art in the downtown area. The first pieces were placed in Grinnell Plaza, and have since been added — and continue to be added — throughout the city.
